Disruptive Critters
James Hullick & Jonathan Duckworth
IN RESIDENCE29 October – 31 October
Presented in collaboration with Tura New Music
This sonically abstract and texturally rich project features a massive projection and a multi-touch table-top console by The Duckworth Hullick Duo.
Real-time computer-generated virtual avatars (or critters) will roam the virtual performance space, responding to sound and movement. The critters, each with their own sound world, become autonomous co-performers in the work, interacting with performers and each other.
Disruptive Critters (DC) is a concert and free play exhibition. The concert is a 40-minute performance by James Hullick and Jonathan Duckworth playing the DHD’s bespoke DC tabletop audio-visual interface in surround sound.
This project is supported by RMIT University, Jolt, Australia Council of Arts, Creative Victoria & CIART
