Fri 2 - Sun 4 December
The WA AIDS Council presents ZERO – an exhibition of new works in support of Western Australians living with HIV. The exhibition will open 6.30pm, Thursday 1st December - World AIDS Day - at a special opening night launch ticketed event, and will run until Sunday December 4th, open 10am-5pm daily.

Every week in 2015 Australia recorded 20 new HIV infections - 20 too many.

ZERO is the inspiration for an exciting exhibition of new works to celebrate World AIDS Day and to raise funds for the work of the WA AIDS Council in “Getting to Zero”: Zero new infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS related deaths.

Twenty artists have been invited to present new pieces in ZERO. Works from acclaimed Western Australian artists include Daevid Anderson, Virginia Ward, Paul Kaptein and Jo Darvall feature, along with artists from around Australia and a handful of exciting local emerging talent. Together they present a vibrant and eclectic series of works.

The artists created works reflecting their own unique take on ‘ZERO’ or the number ‘0’. The carefully selected artworks span a diverse array of media including sculpture, painting, limited edition prints and even wearable art. Their interpretations range from literal to radical and at times are lateral in their approach.

All works from the exhibition will be for sale with proceeds shared between the artists and the WA AIDS Council.
