River Walks

Geoffrey Wake

These works are the result of the artist's walk near and around Mount Henry Bridge in Mount Pleasant. The site is well known for its rich bird life, and is popular as a recreational destination. The suggestive surfaces are visual inquiries into the many textures and colours of this area. In some ways they can almost be read as aerial maps of these stills where the artist finds most of his inspiration.
